Croly, Mrs. Jennie (Cunningham). Jennie June; Satanella; Veni Vidi An American journalist ; b. at Market Har- borough, Leicestershire; removed to America with her father; and when quite a girl, edited a Lyceum paper in Southbridge, Mass. ; soon after 1855 she managed the ladies' column in two weekly papers; and since that time, under the signature of "Jennie June," Mrs. Croly has been constantly en- gaged in journalism ; in addition to her editorial duties, she contributes regu- larly to 27 publications outside of New York City; Mrs, Croly was the founder of the " Sorosis/' in 1S68; she is the wife of the preceding, whom she married in 1856.
