(6) And if it {hall happen any Sheriff", in any of the faid twelve Shires and County of Monmouth, to make Defaull of Payment of the faid Wages or tees by a longer Term than two Months, then every fuch Sheriff to forfeit for every Month that he or they fhall make Default xx. //'. to be forfeited and levied in Manner and Form as is aforefaid. III. And be it further enacted by the Authority aforefaid, forafmuch as the Inhabitants of all Cities and v/i ' ""' al1 b ~ Boroughs in every the faid twelve Shires within Wales, and in the faid County of Monmouth, not finding S hoo ^ s ^ tte Burgeffes for the Parh'anKnt themfelves, muft bear and pay the Burgeifes Wages within the Shire-towns of p^Jjfameotin and in every the faid twelve Shires in Wales, and in the faid County of Monmouth, that from the Beginning Wales ?.nd of the faid Parliament the Burgeffesof all and every of the faid Cities, Boroughs and Towns, which be and Momr.outh. {hall be contributary to the Payment of the Burgeffes Wages of the faid Shire-towns, fhall be lawfully ad- monifhed, by Proclamation or otherwife, by the Mayors, Bailiffs or other Head Officers of the faid Towns, or by one of them, to come and to give their Elections for the electing of the faid Burgeffes, at fuch Time and Place lawful and reafonable, as fhall be affigned for the fame Intent by the faid Mayors, Bailiffs and other Head Officers of the faid Shire-towns, or by one of them; in which Elections the Burgefics fhall have like Voice and Authority to elect, name and choofe the Burgeffes of every the faid Shire-towns, like and in fuch Manner as the Burgeffes of the faid Shire-towns have or ufe. IV. Provided always, That two Juftices of the Peace in every of the Shires in Wales, and in the faid Rating of Bo- County of Monmouth, by Force of this Act, fhall have full Power and Authority indifferently to lot and Toa f bs -™! lc - tax every City, Borough and Town within the Shires in Wales, wherein they do inhabit, and in the iaid ,h e jj^!? rffm County of Monmouth, for the Portions and Rates that every the faid Cities and Boroughs fhall bear and pay Wages. towards the faid Burgeffes, within the faid Shire-towns of every of the faid Shires in Wales and the County Dyer 1 13, of 'Monmouth ; (2) which Rates fo rated and taxed in grofs by the faid two Juftices of Peace, as is afore- laid, fhall be again rated and taxed on the Inhabitants of every the faid Cities and Boroughs by four or fix difcreet and fubftantial Burgeffes of every the faid Cities and Boroughs in Wales, thereunto named and af- figned by the Mayor, Bailiffs or other Head Officers of the faid Cities, Towns and Boroughs for the Time being, and thereupon the Mayors, Bailiffs or other Head Officers of every fuch City, Borough and Town, to collect and gather the fame, and thereof to make Payment, in Manner and Form as is aforefaid, to the „ ... The Lords and Commons do remit unto the King all fuch Sums of Money as he hath borrowed of them or any other, by way of Preft or Loan, by his Privy Seal fithence the firft Day of January, Anno 33 of his Reign. And if the King have paid to any Perfon any Sum of Money which he borrowed, by Sale of Land or otherwife, the fame Perfon, his Heirs, Executors or Administrators, fhall repay the fame to the King. And if any Perfon hath fold his Privy Seal to another, the Seller {ball repay the Money to the Buyer thereof. E X r, CAP. XIII. The King's Manors of Granges, Collinghams, Bots, Fens and Marjhes in the County of Norfolk, which fometimea were Parcels of the PoffeiEons of the late Abbey or Priory of Walftnghami fhall and may be 3 granted.
