AfSrmaiion of XXV. Provided, and be it further enaded by the Authority aforefaid, that in all Cafes yherein by this Ad: Quakers. an Oath is required or appointed to be taken, the folemn Affirmation and Declaration of the People called Quakers fhall be accepted inftead of fuch Oath, in fuch Manner and Form, as by the Laws and Statutes of this Kingdom is directed and appointed ; and if any fuch ^akcr {hall refufe to make fuch folemn Afnrma- Penalty on their ^.^^ ^^^j Declaration, in any Cafe wherein any other Perfon is hereby required to take an Oath, every reuir.g. ^^^^ <ki!aker {0 refuiing {liall, for every fuch Offence, be fubjed to the like Forfeitures and Penalties, as ana on falfe any Other Perfon refufing to take an Oath is made liable to by this Ad ; and in cafe any fuch ^laker fhall. Affirming, and upon his folemn Aflirmation or Declaration, affirm or declare any Matter which fliall be falfe ; or if any Swearing. other Peifon, before any luch Colledor, Receiver or other Perfon hereby authorized to adminiffer Oaths, {hall wilfully make a falfe Oath, every fuch ^laker or other Perfon, being thereof lawfully convided, fhall, for every fuch Offence, fufter and be liable to the like Fines, Pains, Penalties and Punifliments, as Per- i'ons convided of wilful and corrupt Perjury are fubjed and liable to by the Laws of that Part of Great Britain called England. Charges of this XXVI. And it is hereby further enaded by the Authority aforefaid, That the Charges, Cofls and Ex- Aa. pences in and about procuring and obtaining this Ad of Parliament, fhall be paid out of the firlt Monies to be raifed and contributed by virtue hereof, at the Port of London. ' XXV IL And whereas the Mailers, Commanders and other Officers and Seamen, employed in Ships or ' Veffels belonging to Perforis refiding at fome of the Out-ports of this Kingdom, may be defirous of having ' the fix Pence per Month to be allowed aiid paid by them out of their Wages, by virtue of and for the ' Purpofes of this Ad, to be under the Diredion and Management of Perfons refiding in or near to fuch ' Out-Ports rel'pedively ;' Therefore be it further enaded by the Authority aforefaid, That from and after the twenty-fourth Day of ymzt' one thoufind feven hundred and forty-feven, it fhall and may be lawful Miners of ships to and for the Owners of, and the Alaflers and Commanders employed on board the Ships and Vefleb be- ef OutVo'rts, to longing to Pcrfons refiding nt any of the faid Out-ports, to afTemble and meet, at any proper Time and meet.
