GRACIOUS and all-merciful Lord God and
Saviour Jesus Christ! we now approach Thee with hearts overflowing with gratitude and praise, to bless and thank Thee for that feast of rich mercies which we have this day enjoyed from the ministry of thy Word. We have indeed been blessed with the fatness of thy house. May the truths which have been dispensed in thy church this day, sink deeply into the hearts of the hearers; that, under thy Divine providence and care, each one may bring forth celestial fruits in the life. O may the love of truth, the love of good, and the mutual love of each other, be, always found in harmonious operation amongst us; so shall the offerings that Thou hast commanded to be brought, of blue, of purple, and scarlet double-dyed, be always present to mingle with our devotions, and thus draw down from Thee the choicest, richest blessings. Heavenly Father! help us continually to remember Thee; to confess unto Thee, to bless and praise Thee as the Creator and Preserver, the King and God of all men, whose glory fills the heavens, and whose faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds. In full dependence upon thy loving kindness and protecting mercy, we now commit ourselves to Thee; for in thy protection there is safety and everlasting life and health. Help us.
