thy Divine aid, O Lord, our Saviour! that we can joyfully exclaim, "Blessed be the Lord my strength, who teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight." Unto Thee, O Lord, we now commit our souls and bodies. We know in whom we trust; we feel safe under thy protection, who art Israel's safeguard and evelasting hope.

Tuesday Morning.

MERCIFUL and ever blessed Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, before whose sacred presence the countless hosts of angelic beings bow down in humble adoration, ever sending forth their grateful songs of praise and thanksgiving to Thee, the Holy One, the Creator, Redeemer, and Preserver of all; we humbly beseech Thee, gracious Father! so to strengthen our feeble powers of mind, that we may unite our praises with those before thy throne, who, knowing that all in Thee is pure and spotless; that thy Love, Wisdom, and Power are without limits in blessing and preserving those who trust in Thee; are ever uttering, in all they think and do, their unceasing song of "Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty! heaven and earth are full of thy glory." O gracious Saviour! our Shield in the past, and our Hope in the future, we desire to thank Thee for that refreshing gift of sleep from which we have this morning risen. Under thy care we purpose through this day to go on our way rejoicing in thy fatherly care and providence. Enable us scrupulously to shun even the appearance
