Duchess op Bedford, da. of Peter (dk Luxembourg), Count of St. Pol and Conversan. He commanded the Cavalry on behalf of the Lancastrians, at the second battle of St. Albans, but d. of his wounds, 28 Feb. 1460/1, a few days after that victory. His widow m. privately, 1 May 1464, at Grafton, co. Northampton, King Edward IV., and was crowned as Queen Consort, 26 May 1465. The King d. 9 April 1483, aged 42. She herself, who was b. about 1431 (probably at Grafton), d. at Bermondsey convent and was our. (with her second husband) in St. George's chapel, Windsor, on Whit-Sunday, 1492. Will dat. 10 April 1492. W VIII. 1461. S. Titomas (Grey). Lord Ferrers de Groby, i s. and h., 6. 1451. He was cr. (by his step-father, King Edward IV.), 14 Aug. 1471, Earl of Huntingdon, which title he shortly afterwards resigned and Was, on 18 April 1475, cr. MARQUESS OF DORSET. KG., 1475/G.(b) He d. 26 April 1501. IX. 1501. 9. Thomas (Ghey), Mahqtjess of Dorset, and Lord Ferrers de Groby, s. and h., 6. 22 June 1477. He sue. his mother as Lord Hurington and Lord Bonvile. He was sum. to Pari, by writ, 17 Oct. (1509), 1 Hen. VIII. directed Thoma: Grey, Domino Ferrers de Groby," but, in the Pari, of 1511, by writ directed " Thoma: Grey, Marchioni Dorset."
