I., but never afterwards. Nothing further is known of hitn.(s) T. Barony by Andrew Fitz-Roger was sum. to Pail, as a Baron Writ. [LORD FITZ-ROGER], on 10 April (1299), 27 Ed. Herbert Fitz-Peter about 1249, both being sons of Peter Fitz- Herbert, by Isabel, da. and coheir of VVilliam de Braose, of Brecknock, the heiress of Blenleveny, which Peter was s. and h. of tho well known Herbert Fitz- Herbert. (°) See p. 366, note "£," (*) In Atkyns's '• Qloucestershire," p. 239, mention is made of Matthew Fitz-Herbert, of Harefield in that co., a descendant of John Fitz-Reginald, Lord Fitz-Reginald (who had in 1286 inherited that estate from his father), having levied a fine thereof (1340), 14 Ed. III. to himself and his br. Reginald, in tail male, with rem. to Edward St. John, and having died (1356), 30 Ed. III., after which the said Edward St. John of Scopham and Joan his wife became in (1382-83), 6 Ric. II., seized of the same. (B) It is not improbable that John and Andrew Fitz-Roger were brothers of Robert Fitz-Roger, Lord of Clavering, who was sum. to Pari, as a Baron, 1295, but 4 years previously (See under " Clavering "), but their names do not occur in any reliable pedigree of that family.
