Of the great value to the practicing lawyers of this digest of the law of unfair trade there can be no doubt. Not only are the cases well abstracted, but the headings and subheadings under which they are arranged are well de signed for ready reference. It is to be deplored that the standard of commercial dealings has been so low as to produce so many cases in late years where there has been fraudulent imita tion of the brands and names of the goods of established firms by new adventurers, who have gone so far in some cases as to copy the very markings and dress of well-known articles. But it is a subject for congratulation that the judges have been so steadfast and vigorous in the face of persistent and ingenious arguments in protecting the business rights of legitimate enterprises from the depredations of these commercial outlaws.
