Proposed move edit

This case is (actually these cases are) commonly referred to as the Passenger Cases‎ and are so named on Wikipedia. I'm inclined to move the page. LegalSkeptic (talk) 15:05, 30 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Are the other cases already posted on wikisource yet? Would we call all three Passenger Cases, or just merge all three into one and get rid of the other two? But aren't all three have separate opinions? Wabbit98 talk, 8:11am (PST), 30 September 2010
This is another instance where case disambiguation is useful (see Passenger Cases) George Orwell III (talk) 16:44, 30 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
Actually, I think both cases were considered at once by the Court, so "Passenger Cases" refers solely to 48 U.S. 283. There are other examples of this, e.g. Slaughterhouse Cases and Civil Rights Cases. LegalSkeptic (talk) 20:34, 30 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
All well and good but those are subjectivly assigned associations, as well known as they may be, of actual cases but aren't of a reference or citation quality. That is what Wikipedia does (associate the sometimes assinine, trivial or mundane stuff with the relevant complimentary content) - WS does primarily reproductions of published works. If its not published in Howard, Wallace (etc.), U.S. Report or the Lawyer's Edition as "Passenger Cases" the best you can "get away with" is a disambiguation page and the "worst" is adding back the redirect you had previously in place. Moving the actual case name to "Passenger Cases" (something not published as in our yet to be scanned & uploaded source or cited materials) is not acceptible on WS the way I see it. Feel free to restore the simple redirect if you like that better than disambiguation or to bring this up for further discussion on Scriptorium if you wish. As an after thought for a 3rd option, these cases may also be associated with each other via it's own Passenger Cases category and that category could be listed as one of many to come areas or types of cases under the Portal namespace /Judicial branch somewhere too.
