- Those are all different editions 1917, 1923. This edition double bound some of what was spread across different volumes into a single volume. MarkLSteadman (talk) 19:15, 9 April 2023 (UTC)
- I am confused about what you are trying to achieving by having The Complete Works of Lyof N. Tolstoi - 10 (Crowell, 1899).djvu version of Long Exile be mixed in with this version The Complete Works of Lyof N. Tolstoi - 08 (Crowell, 1899).djvu (where it is bound with a second volume). If the goal is to use the single volume edition from 1899 instead of the double bound versions I would expect to start a new series under a new name (and then, match and split say) rather than try to interweave them together. - @Yann The missing volume 10 is here: https://www.google.com/books/edition/The_Complete_Works_of_Lyof_N_Tolstoi/TC_UHPhSvCkC and the "missing" volume 12 is here in a low quality GBS scan https://www.google.com/books/edition/The_Complete_Works_of_Lyof_N_Tolstoi_Res/EFJSyXamWjoC , I suspect the later may have been added later (with the preface of 1900).
