Chapter 1 edit

1 The revelation [1]of Jesus Christ that God gave to Him to show to His servants the things that must imminently come to pass: and He sent and symbolized it by His angel to His servant John 2 Who gave witness to the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ, even all those things that he saw.[2] 3Beatified is he who reads and understands the words of this prophecy and who keeps those things that are written, for the time is at hand.[3] 4John, to the seven churches in Asia, "Grace to you and peace from God [4] who is, was and is to come; and from the seven spirits that are in the presence of His throne; 5and from Jesus Christ the true Witness, the primogenitor from the dead and the Ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins by His own blood. 6and made us a kingdom and priests to God and His Father; to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. 7Behold! He is coming with the clouds and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him, even so, Amen.8I am the Alpha and the Omega, says the Lord God who is, was and is to come, the Almighty.9I, John, a brother and companion in tribulation, and the kingdom and patience that are in Jesus Christ was on the island called Patmos for the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ.10I was in Spirit on the Day of the Lord when I heard behind me a great voice like a trumpet11saying, Write those things you see in a Book and send it to the seven churches: To Ephesus , Smyrna, Pergamos, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia and Laodicea.12And being there [5] I turned to see the voice that spake to me, and while turning I saw seven golden lampstands.13And in the midst of the seven golden lampstands was one like the son of man [6] clothed with a long robe [7] and wore a golden belt around His chest.14His head and hair were white as wool even as white as snow and His eyes were as flames of fire.15And his feet were as fine brass, even as if refined in a furnace and his voice was as the sound of many waters.16He had in His right hand seven stars, and out of His mouth came a sharp two-edged sword, and His countenance was as the sun shining in it's strength.17And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as though dead. And he laid His right hand on me and said, "Fear not, I am the first and the last,18and the Living One; I was dead and behold I am alive forevermore, Amen; and have the keys of death and of Hades.19Write the things that you have seen, both the things that are and the things that shall be hereafter.20The mystery of the seven stars which you saw in my right hand and the seven golded lampstands. The seven stars are the messangers of the seven churches and[8]the seven lampstands are the seven churches.

Chapter 2 edit

1To the angel of the congregation in Ephesus write: "These things says he who holds the seven stars in his right hand, he who walks in the midst of the golden lampstands: 2 'I know your deeds and your labor and your endurance, and that you cannot tolerate the wicked, and that you tested the ones calling themselves apostles without being such, and you have found them liars. 3 And you have endurance and you have taken up the burden for the sake of my name and you have not been tired. 4 But I have this against you: you have left the love you had at first.[9] 5 So, keep in mind from what you have fallen, and repent and do the deeds you used to do at first[10] Otherwise, I am coming to you quickly, and I will take off your lampstand from its place, if you do not repent. 6 Yet you do have this, that you hate the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate. 7 He who has ears, let him heed what the spirit says to the congregations. To the one who conquers I will grant to eat of the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.

Chapter 3 edit

1 And to the angel of the congregation in Sardis write: "These things says he who has the seven spirits of God and the seven stars: 'I know your deeds, that you have a reputation[11] that you live, and you are dead.2
