Hi. I have deleted "Video address by Chief Executive Carrie Lam to members of the public" as being in violation of copyright law. I do not see that works of Hong Kong government officials are automatically out of copyright restrictions, though if you can point me to such a declaration of public domain work or evidence that the video of Carrie Lam is covered by creative commons license, then we can look to resurrect the work. — billinghurst sDrewth 13:29, 7 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I was following this page's guidelines which states that Wikisource is "able to host [public speeches made since 1923] only when they are political speeches by a political figure, as we take the view these are not protected by copyright." Unfortunately modern political speeches are scripted, and are now considered covered by copyright. I have started a conversation at Wikisource:Scriptorium#Guidance_at_Portal:Speeches/Copyright to address your pointing to that page of guidance. — billinghurst sDrewth 13:24, 9 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
