Welcome note edit

Hello Mikael Häggström, welcome to Wikisource! Thanks for your interest in the project; we hope you'll enjoy the community and your work here.

You'll find an (incomplete) index of our works listed at Wikisource:Works, although for very broad categories like poetry you may wish to look at the categories like Category:Poems instead.

Please take a glance at our help pages (especially Adding texts and Wikisource's style guide). Most questions and discussions about the community are in the Scriptorium.

The Community Portal lists tasks you can help with if you wish. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me on my talk page! John Vandenberg (chat) 12:11, 12 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Addition of Gray's anatomy edit

p.s. If I add Gray's anatomy to Wikisource, will you come back and proof read it ? John Vandenberg (chat) 12:11, 12 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

I think you would do the world a great favor if you did. Sad to say, however, I've had pretty much anatomy in school since my last visit, enough to make me bored of it for an indefinite amount of time. Mikael Häggström 07:04, 1 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
That is a shame, but I am sure someone else will come along and want to undertake that project. Is there something else you would be interested in on Wikisource; perhaps one of our transcription projects? John Vandenberg (chat) 07:13, 1 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
I only occasionally take a look here, but sure there seem to be many interesting tasks. Mikael Häggström (talk) 05:35, 23 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hey Mikael,

I'm not sure if this belongs in the mainspace. Looking over the page history I see that the page was marked as part of a prototype for the peer review process. I believe this would generally be something that belongs in your userspace. Our guidelines for inclusion here mostly involve publication, and when there's a lack thereof, notability. This has neither.

If I am unaware of something which permits this I apologize. - Theornamentalist (talk) 17:24, 3 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your interest in this matter. Indeed that study is mainly a prototype for this peer review process, yet, as scientific research, I don't find Wikisource:What Wikisource includes#Scientific research to disqualify its inclusion. The note on previously unpublished material at Wikisource:Scriptorium&oldid=3714041#Scientists.2C_personal_notes_and_Wikisource seems to deal with works without peer review - otherwise, it would have been contradictory to the previously noted allowance of theses, which are not necessarily published. This teaspoon study is also meant to be a prototype for a discussion of any additional work included by the same peer review process, so I find it a good idea to continue this discussion at a more general talk page - do you have any suggestions for where we should go? Mikael Häggström (talk) 07:25, 4 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
I've added an entry on this topic at Wikisource:Scriptorium#Self-published_but_yet_peer_reviewed_original_research. Mikael Häggström (talk) 17:47, 6 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Suggest move edit

Wikisource_talk:What_Wikisource_includes#Self-published_but_yet_peer_reviewed_original_research.3F_.282nd_entry.29, I would suggest you move this discussion to Wikisource:Scriptorium. I saw you were making some changes to it, so did not move it myself. There will be wider community interaction in the discussion at Scriptorium. JeepdaySock (talk) 16:12, 6 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

  • PS. I see I have a stale conversation at WWI also that is related and needs to move to Scriptorium. If you would like you might wait a couple days until I get my conversation moved and see how it shakes out first. Completely your call. JeepdaySock (talk) 16:15, 6 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
I think it can just as well be moved now. Do you think it fits best under "Proposals" or "Other discussions"? Mikael Häggström (talk) 16:49, 6 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
Other discussions, just add to the bottom of the page. JeepdaySock (talk) 17:36, 6 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
All right. I've now moved the entry to Wikisource:Scriptorium#Self-published_but_yet_peer_reviewed_original_research. Mikael Häggström (talk) 17:47, 6 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
