editThis compilation of stories was published in 1927 with a copyright renewal in 1955. Some of the stories included in this volume, however, were published before 1923, and are therefore in the public domain in the United States. Others are still under copyright in the U.S. (although they are public domain in the U.K.) because their copyrights were renewed.
