New Texts
editTexts must be proofread fully before being listed as "new". --EncycloPetey (talk) 01:06, 8 April 2018 (UTC)
- Until a better formatting solution is offered, I made an adjustment and marked as proofread this page. @EncycloPetey: Do you know a better solution? Londonjackbooks (talk) 01:20, 8 April 2018 (UTC)
- Not really. I'm not certain whether or not the problematic content belongs in the work, or is missing something that should have been attached in the "Seal" location. --EncycloPetey (talk) 01:22, 8 April 2018 (UTC)
- Ah. Another copy at Google books is the same. Seems it is perhaps a transcription itself... but I really don't know. Londonjackbooks (talk) 01:37, 8 April 2018 (UTC)
- @EncycloPetey: the work is fully proofread apart from 1 missing image. I thought that was fine as it was only an image missing and the text on all pages is proofread. GhostOrchid35 (talk) 05:06, 8 April 2018 (UTC)
- No, we want the whole book proofread (except ads or extraneous material). In this case the problematic page showed up in the main page of the work, which is an even bigger concern. We don't want to present readers with incomplete works, or works with large tags indicating problems, among the New listings. That page is for completed works only. --EncycloPetey (talk) 05:08, 8 April 2018 (UTC)

Year at top level of work only (usually)
editHi. For a published works it is unusual for us to put a year on subpages, we would instead simply year parameter the root level page of the work. There are some exceptions, especially for periodical works. — billinghurst sDrewth 11:21, 6 May 2018 (UTC)
Without text
editHi. It is not necessary to remove pages without text explicitly, e.g. here. Mpaa (talk) 11:17, 23 May 2022 (UTC)
Need a li'l help
editI have tried to transcribe the lyrics of Page:Childs own music book.djvu/67 as best I can (since I wanted to create Mother, May I Go Out to Swim?, and I've also created Taffy Was a Welshman). However, I do not know musical notation, and it was quite difficult getting LilyPond to work at all yesterday. Can you please add the musical notation for page 68 and create Page:Childs own music book.djvu/66 for me as well? Thank you so very much!
(Oh, and by the way, I just realized that A, B, C, Tumble Down D was the basis for "A, B, C, Vitamin D: The fat's in the liver, the cod's in the sea" in Aldous Huxley's Brave New World. See, I never knew about "A, B, C, Tumble Down D" until yesterday, although I did read "Taffy was a Welshman" as a child.) Shāntián Tàiláng (talk) 14:50, 20 September 2023 (UTC)
