Bible/1 Meqabyan edit

If this translation was published in 2018, it will still be under copyright. --EncycloPetey (talk) 19:40, 8 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

We would need certification that you are the author ({{PermissionOTRS}} with verified ticket) and are indeed releasing this content into the public domain. The translation would also have to be published previously under the conditions described in WS:WWI. --EncycloPetey (talk) 22:05, 8 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
The process is described at commons:Commons:OTRS. I haven't had to use it myself, so I'm not familiar with the details either. --EncycloPetey (talk) 00:22, 9 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Further additions edit

You've added works without licensing information, and without a published source as reference. Wikisource requires both of these to be present on all works hosted here. --EncycloPetey (talk) 19:59, 20 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

I will gladly provide them. However, I'm not clear on how to do so. If you would provide me with some directives I will happily release these segments of my work over to wikisource. 137.103.9.97 18:04, 21 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

To start with, where were these published? And were they published in exactly the form as you are uploading them here? --EncycloPetey (talk) 18:51, 21 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
'On Fate' was published in February of this year (See: https://books.google.com/books/about/On_Fate.html?id=6pKpEAAAQBAJ&source=kp_book_description). Fragments of 'Chronicles' is forthcoming later this year. What is placed here is only a small selection of the full text, not the full copyrighted work. HerbiePocket (talk) 05:52, 22 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
The copyright for "On Fate" is stated to be held by Dalcassian Publishing, and that we would need the written permission of the copyright holder to host it here. That kind of licensing isn't compatible with Wikisource.
With regard to 'Chronicles', Wikisource does not host unpublished works, and we don't host extracts of works, only complete works. So neither work looks to be hostable. --EncycloPetey (talk) 00:35, 23 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
I can get written permission from my publisher with ease. I have done it already for 1st Maccabees. However, I don't know how who to direct it to. I believe that you gave me direction on this issue last time.
'Chronicles' should be due for publication 7/1/2023, perhaps it is advisable to hold off then until it is officially so? HerbiePocket (talk) 18:16, 25 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

On Fate - This still needs source and license templates on the page. --EncycloPetey (talk) 23:35, 26 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
