Your Learning Journal edit

Can you please give some indication as to how your learning journal for a 2011 course meets our inclusion requirements? On the surface it doesn't look like it does, but there may be something I'm missing. Beeswaxcandle (talk) 20:58, 8 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

@Beeswaxcandle: I was directed to Wikisource as a possible solution for the digitization and transcription of these field notes. The goal is to make these field notes public for future research and to allow the ability to transcribe the notes. Is that allowable? unsigned comment by Jeffdowdy (talk) .
Well, they're not previously "published in a verifiable, peer-reviewed forum" (Original contributions section). This means that you need to demonstrate how your notes meet either the Documentary sources or the Scientific research sections. After a quick review of some random pages, I can't see that they do, but am open to be persuaded otherwise. Beeswaxcandle (talk) 21:21, 8 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
@Beeswaxcandle: These are original documents, created during the "course of events" of a field leadership course during the spring of 2011, and consist of the personal reflections (or diary) of Dr. Will Hobbs. Does that constitute a documentary source? Jeffdowdy (talk) 21:34, 8 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
So, what was the major event that took place in 2011 that this learning journal is documenting? It would need to be an event that could have a Wikipedia article written about it. I assume that your Will Hobbs has a Wikipedia article (and is not w:Will Hobbs, the author). Beeswaxcandle (talk) 22:19, 8 January 2016 (UTC)Reply

Looking back over the inclusion policy, I guess this would fall under user contribution since it's yet to be published. What's the process for removal? --Jeffdowdy (talk) 16:24, 11 January 2016 (UTC)Reply
