The Chaos edit

Hi Nardog. I saw that you reverted my edits to The Chaos, and I un-reverted them. I want you to understand why. It is not anything personal. I am not edit-warring. There are two important values of Wikisource that you need to understand:

  • We do not correct typos in original published texts
  • We always use a scan-backed copy of the work when possible

I provided a scan-backed copy of the work, and I checked that the text was exactly the same as what was published. Your edits removed the scan, and your typo correction changed the text so that it was no longer the text from Ruize-rijmen.

Now you know why I reverted your efforts this morning. I also want to thank you for your commitment to improving works on Wikisource. I advise you to take advantage of the talk page in future, if you want to revert edits made by more experienced editors. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
