Welcome to Wikisource

Hello, Noswall59, and welcome to Wikisource! Thank you for joining the project. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy contributing to Wikisource, the library that is free for everyone to use! In discussions, please "sign" your comments using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your username if you're logged in (or IP address if you are not) and the date. Images

edit

Please upload all images to Commons, instead of locally to Wikisource. On Commons, images will be available to all Mediawiki projects. --EncycloPetey (talk) 18:17, 24 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Image formatting: See this page Page:The Ancestor Number 1.djvu/257 We generally fo not use "thumb" as it creates a frame around the image that is not present in the original text. --EncycloPetey (talk) 18:20, 24 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Frank Merry Stenton

edit

Was Stenton's wife a published author herself? You have red-linked her, suggesting that she was. Wikisource only links individuals who are published authors. --EncycloPetey (talk) 14:57, 20 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

EncycloPetey, yes she was, see her Wikipedia page. —Noswall59 (talk) 14:59, 20 October 2018 (UTC).Reply

Author:William Alfred Morris

Generally, we try to keep the Author description to a minimum. It is possible to accumulate biographical data on the Author_talk page for individuals who do not have (or do not merit) a Wikipedia page. But the description parameter is not intended for a biographical dictionary entry. --EncycloPetey (talk) 01:50, 1 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
