EB1911 Irrigation article

Hi PBS — I know you created the Irrigation article and used the Gutenberg text to create it (nice work!). I just added some pictures to it and made some minor mods (mostly to the tables so the alignment looks better, based on the Gutenberg tables). I also realised the text converted from Gutenberg didn't handle the strikethrough in "Rx", so I modified that too using {{tl:Strikethrough}}.

I've also been finding Wikipedia articles articles that have a reference to the defunct website www.1911encyclopedia.org by searching "insource:*1911encyclopedia.org" in Wikipedia; currently at 473 articles and falling! Keep up the good work. DivermanAU (talk) 06:41, 27 September 2018 (UTC)

@DivermanAU I did a search some time ago and place them in a sorted list in AWB. The search I used was insource:/1911encyclopedia/ at the time it returned over 600 the list (when I just ran the search is down to 480). I deliberately did not use the Gutenberg tables, as I think it better to stick to the standard Wikimarkup. I also think that "EB1911 Shoulder HeadingSmall" is preferable to "EB1911 Shoulder HeadingSmall". That is the reason I changed those two items throughout the article. Thank you for the "Rx" I did not notice that one.

If you have time please have a look at my modifications to Template:EB1911 footer initials (the same code is in the sandbox) for reasons that I can not see it is placing a \n (or \r) into the template output which means that if "divisor=;" is used it places the second, third and fourth initials on a new line in bold (the default behaviour if a line starts with a semicolon). I have hacked it for the moment by using &#59;.

I don't have much expertise in templates, so I can only concur that by having a semi-colon for divisor it gets regarded as a new line. If the hack works, let there be hack! DivermanAU (talk) 19:21, 27 September 2018 (UTC)

Template:11link (or related template) has stopped auto-capitalising first character

Hi PBS, I believe your recent changes to this template, or another, has changed the behaviour in some cases (pardon the pun) — whereas before using all lowercase e.g. constable would result in the correct article being shown, Constable. The 11link template used to redirect to {{tl:EB1911 intra-article link}} which (used to) automatically capitalise the first letter, the documentation on Template:EB1911 intra-article link/doc for "abyss" states that it should link to the article name "Abyss". There's hundreds (maybe thousands) of article links using lowercase copied from Gutenberg that used to work OK, now the links using all lowercase are broken. @DivermanAU Thanks for pointing that out. I have reverted my changes to Template:EB1911 Intra-Article Link and Template:11link. It is my intention to only have one template but I will have to do some further development to implement it successfully. In the mean time please use the one in the MOS {{EB1911 article link}}. At the moment {{11link}} has been used in many EB11 article to massively over link words in them and a search on that link will allow us to target such articles sometime in the future. -- PBS (talk) 07:25, 4 October 2018 (UTC)

Template:Sfrac

Hi. I have noticed that you added the font-size parameter to the {{sfrac}}. I tried to use it, but it it makes no difference in the size of the characters, so it seems to me it got broken somehow. --Jan Kameníček (talk) 18:58, 5 October 2018 (UTC)

Only now I found out that it does not work in Chrome, but it works well in Firefox. So I guess there is nothing to be done about it. --Jan Kameníček (talk) 19:09, 5 October 2018 (UTC)

Water Supply

Looks like you've been able to spend the time that I didn't! Unfortunately I started proofreading this but other stuff kept happening and it went out of my mind.

I see you found some earlier uploaded diagrams. I should have said that the first thing I did was upload all of them, with consistent appearance and naming. On Commons, they are "EB1911-Water_Supply-<n>.png". You're welcome to fix the remaining missing diagrams, of course. Sorry, I have to run (again). DavidBrooks (talk) 16:51, 16 March 2021 (UTC)

Sorry, I may not have been clear. I did upload all 21 images, consistently named, early February. You found something uploaded by Francois-Pier last October, which I wasn't aware of when I did the duplicates. He(?) uploaded an impressive number of EB1911 images late last year; the Water Supply batch have descriptive names while I used figure numbers. DavidBrooks (talk) 20:37, 16 March 2021 (UTC)
