Transcription edit

May I suggest that ʻ U+02BB MODIFIER LETTER TURNED COMMA be used for aspiration? Suzukaze-c (talk) 07:29, 12 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Do you mean for Wade-Giles transcription of aspiration? Why use this character and not an apostrophe? Koxinga (talk) 19:40, 12 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
In Unicode, this character is not considered punctuation and is more "proper", technically speaking: modifier letter. I get that it is not as convenient to use though. Suzukaze-c (talk) 17:41, 13 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Google OCR edit

If you need a better OCR, add : mw.loader.load('//wikisource.org/w/index.php?title=MediaWiki:GoogleOCR.js&action=raw&ctype=text/javascript'); to your common.js It can process chinese if it is the same size with the roman character text around it and it works poorly with pages with two columns of text. Progress bars edit

I've taken the liberty of replacing Template:PageStatus with Template:Index progress bar, which automatically updates the page progress so they do not have to be updated manually. I've also fixed column widths in the tables so that the progress bar can be visible and not collapsed to a very narrow column (not sure if this is browser-dependent). Few questions edit

If we're using Template:Index progress bar, should we start deleting all the older, manual Template:PageStatus one's and reformatting the columns to match, AND I think we should add a few links to some useful portals like Portal:China, Portal:Chinese classics, Portal:Chinese language and Portal:Chinese literature, and keep them updated as we complete more works.
