Paragraphs edit

I've noticed you using <br> at the end of paragraphs. To separate paragraphs on Wikisource, just put a blank line between paragraphs. <br> can be used for poems, and certain odd formatting, but isn't usually needed.--Prosfilaes (talk) 05:52, 12 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Using tags for transclusion edit

I noticed you removed the tags (in this case "contents") that would allow the toc to be displayed without the rest of the text and images.

Then you removed the little index box from the main index page.

This all happened at Amazing Stories.

To me it is de-evolution and stupidifying, perhaps my take on this is lacking some information that you can provide.-RaboKarbakian (talk) 19:38, 23 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

When I had arrived at the contents page, the tag was not working properly and was showing up in the actual text. I tried to make the syntax work, to no avail, so I just removed it till myself or someone else figured it out. And rather than just have the whole contents page show on the index page, I removed that till the problem is fixed. Blue-ray656 (talk) 21:11, 23 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
Good answer! I will look to it tomorrow. Thanks! --RaboKarbakian (talk) 00:53, 24 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
I had to call in an expert. What a mess. I am sorry that I left it broken and also that I forgot that I left it broken, yet, I was happier (but not nicer) in my forgetfulness.
I think that there is something not entirely right in the use of the dotted toc entries. --RaboKarbakian (talk) 16:00, 24 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
Well, the formatting on page 3 certainly looks and actually is better but the little section that is the table of contents is still not displaying on the index page. I am going to leave it as is, only this time without the border showing that it should be there.
I considered that the problem was on the index page, maybe lack of a </pages> or some such. But everything seemed fine and the whole of page 3 will show itself in the toc area. So the problem must be within the toc items on page 3 -- but I couldn't find it. So much for evolution! -- RaboKarbakian (talk) 16:50, 25 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
Yeah I tried getting the contents to show on the index page again and for some reason it just won't now... Blue-ray656 (talk) 02:49, 26 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
