  • @ShakespeareFan00:: I think this one was yours? In any case:   Done. Also, for simple cases like this, you can also just request speedy of the old pages (since they were empty), move the pages into place, and then request speedy of the redirects. It's a little more tedious, and conflicts with the "non-admins shouldn't move pages" guidance, but for small and simple cases like this it's a decent option. --Xover (talk) 10:54, 1 April 2023 (UTC)

Letters from the Battlefields of Paraguay

@Inductiveload: - I've located an 1870 printing at https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=VtwFAAAAQAAJ which enable the version we have to be match and split. ShakespeareFan00 (talk) 11:56, 24 January 2023 (UTC)

@ShakespeareFan00:   Done Index:Letters from the Battle-fields of Paraguay (1870).djvu Xover (talk) 08:33, 1 April 2023 (UTC)
BTW. I see the subpage structure and naming is non-standard in the existing text. Please consider converting to a standard structure while you're otherwise cleaning it up, including moving the subpages that you want to keep (I know we usually recommend against non-admin page moves like that, but there's only 8 of them and I can speedy any redirects etc. once you're done). Index:The History of the Church & Manor of Wigan part 2.djvu

I've found the missing page in an alternate scan.- https://archive.org/details/historychurchma02bridgoog/page/n14/mode/2up Can it be added?

Done. Mpaa (talk)

The relevant search on Archive.org also showed there were 2 more parts ( IA has ex Google Scans as:) being.

Would it be possible for someone on scan lab to have a look at the scans - (https://archive.org/search.php?query=creator%3A%22Bridgeman%2C+George+T.+O.+%28George+Thomas+Orlando%29%2C+1823-1895%22) and get English Wikisource/Commons with a complete volume set?

(located as part of an aside to some ongoing Lint Error cleanups.)

Unless someone is actually planning to work on these, I don't think these are any more worthy to preemptively upload than any other of the myriad such works we could do. --Xover (talk) 15:51, 3 April 2023 (UTC)

Index:Cicero (Collins 1871).djvu

Could someone please trim the Commons file File:Cicero (Collins 1871).djvu to exclude all pages from page 199 and up (of the text; which is file pages from 213–392). The scan currently combines the volume on Cicero with another separate volume on Pliny from the same series. --EncycloPetey (talk) 20:00, 1 April 2023 (UTC)

@EncycloPetey: Going by the main title page, these two works were not arbitrarily bound together after publication, but rather were actually published together in this edition. If you don't want to do Pliny's letters my suggestion would be to just leave them for someone else to do. Xover (talk) 08:01, 2 April 2023 (UTC)
That is truly bizarre. Alhough I have seen other works done that way, none of the other volumes in this series were published that way. --EncycloPetey (talk) 08:07, 2 April 2023 (UTC)

The Tibetan Book of the Dead

Notifying all members of Scan Lab (more info · opt out): (User:Inductiveload, User:Xover, User:Mpaa) Hi, Could someone get this book from HT? I can’t access with HT Download, even with a proxy. Mentioned in Wikisource:Requested texts/1927. Thanks, Yann (talk) 11:26, 3 April 2023 (UTC)

@Yann: It seems to me like it is not available because they assumed it is copyrighted due to its publication date 1973. It is a reprint of the 1927 edition, so it should be in PD, but HathiTrust often are not able to distinguish it. You may try to contact them at support@hathitrust.org. --Jan Kameníček (talk) 13:40, 3 April 2023 (UTC)
@Yann: Could I interest you in the original 1927 edition? Xover (talk) 13:42, 3 April 2023 (UTC)
Ah yes, no need for this one then. Yann (talk) 19:24, 3 April 2023 (UTC)

c:file:The Blight of Insubordination.djvu missing pages

Working with this pair Internet Archive identifier: blightinsubordi00marigoog / Google Books and unfortunately it is missing pages 32 and 33. I see that Google also has Google Books which I only see as snippet view, and I was wondering whether others saw it with more pages. Thanks. — billinghurst sDrewth 02:34, 23 April 2023 (UTC)

As usual, GBooks won't show me anything. But HathiTrust has a 1903 edition that someone with a partner login might be able to access. Xover (talk) 08:54, 23 April 2023 (UTC)
I have pngs of the two pages from the NYPL Google books scan if you want them. MarkLSteadman (talk) 13:24, 23 April 2023 (UTC)
@MarkLSteadman: If you upload the two missing pages I can add them to the DjVu. If you upload them locally I can delete them when done too. Xover (talk) 13:27, 23 April 2023 (UTC)
@Xover File:Blight of Insubordination - N2pGAAAAYAAJ - p33.png and File:Blight of Insubordination - N2pGAAAAYAAJ - p32.png . Let me know if I can help further. MarkLSteadman (talk) 13:39, 23 April 2023 (UTC)
There is a missing appendix / page 103 as well: File:Blight of Insubordination - N2pGAAAAYAAJ - appendix.png MarkLSteadman (talk) 13:44, 23 April 2023 (UTC)
@Billinghurst: Fixed version uploaded now, thanks to Mark. @MarkLSteadman: Thank you! Xover (talk) 14:13, 23 April 2023 (UTC)
