Ghost

Sheridan Le Fanu

Le Fanu was the leading ghost-story writer of the nineteenth century and was central to the development of the genre in the Victorian era. He had enormous influence on the 20th century's most important ghost story writer, M. R. James, and although his work fell out of favour in the early part of the 20th century, towards the end of the century interest in his work increased and remains comparatively strong.
