Project: The Zoologist
The Zoologist was a natural history magazine, first published in 1843 in London.The last volume was published in 1916. It appeared in four series (volumes in process of proofreading specified):
- First series: 1843 – 1865 ( vol. 1 – 23), edited by Edward Newman
- Second series: 1866 – 1876 (vol. 1 – 10), also edited by Newman
- Third series: 1877 – 1896 (vol. 1 – 20), edited by James Edmund Harting
- Fourth series: 1897 – 1916 (vol. 1 – 20), edited by William Lucas Distant
