editFollowing the United States Supreme Court ruling in Rasul v. Bush, on June 28 2004, every captive held in the Guantanamo Bay detention camp, had a Combatant Status Review Tribunal convened to determine whether they had been correctly designated as an "enemy combatant. 572 captives had a Tribunal convened.
Classified Summary
edit- The Department of Defense released multiple versions of some of the 53 portable document format files. The last page of the last file originally bore the Classified Summary of Mohamed Ben Moujane. A later version of this file bore a two sentence summarized transcript.
Summary of Evidence memos
editA Summary of Evidence memo was prepared for all 572 captives who had a Combatant Status Review Tribunal convened.
Summary of Evidence memos of the 14 "high value detainees"
editOn September 6th 2006 14 "high value" captives were transferred to the Guantanamo Bay detention camp from their extrajudicial holding areas, where they were expected to faces charges before a Guantanamo military commission.
As of April 16th 2007 twelve of their memos have been released

edit- Administrative Review Boards were convened annually for every detainee who didn't face charges, or who had not already been cleared for release or repatriation.

Administrative Review Board documents
editThe Department of Defense released 19 portable document files containing transcripts, from captives' first set of Administrative Review Board hearings. The files were released in March and April 2006. They also contained excerpts from letters prepared for the Boards by some captive's habeas corpus lawyers, written statements from the captives, and letters from their families.

Guantanamo Military Commissions
editPresident George W. Bush announced that captives taken during the war on terror would face charges before military commissions. This commissions faced controversy, and the procedures have gone through three major revisions.
- Guantanamo Military Commissions version 1.0
Heavily revised when members of the Prosecution team objected to the basic unfairness of the procedures.
- Guantanamo Military Commissions version 2.0
Struck down by the US Supreme Court in Hamdan v. Rumsfeld, which rules that the Executive Branch lacked the Constitutional authority to establish the Military Commissions, that the US Congress had that authority.
